Snow melts into Spring

After being sick most of February and depressed each time it snowed in March, I'm happy to see the sun out and the snow finally melt!  Hurray for Spring!

Here are a few highlights/photo of the change in season for us here in NH.

We decided to become beekeepers.  We've been taking a class from the local beekeeping association and Jonathan has been busy building two hives.  The bees will be delivered the beginning of May.
Hive building (10 boxes, 2 feeders, 2 hive covers, 2 bases...)

Jonathan built a workbench in the basement for this project

We're also taking some gardening classes from the extension office.  I didn't know how much I didn't know.  Hopefully we'll be more successful with growing things here.

Rice crispy nests I made for my Sunbeams--they loved 'em

Last weekend, I took the boys down to Cape Cod Massachusetts for a change of scenery.  It's a little over 2 hours and was beautiful and sunny, but still cold this time of year.

We stopped in Brewster for a few hours for a picnic lunch and visit to the Natural History Museum

Trevor at the tide pool exhibit - I liked the horse-shoe crabs.  I've never seem them in OR

Jellies!

We found a nice beach in Orleans, MA called Skaket. It was less windy and cold on the west side of the Cape
